INTEL X540-AT2 Configuration

Hello guys,

I recently got a PCIe NIC INTEL X540-AT2 and I´ve been facing issues enabling it on proxmox.
I managed to make it work on a windows machine so hardware issue is not an option.

i tried to compile ixgbe drivers ( different versions ) without any success. Following this thread (Dual Intel X540 10GBE Network Ethernet Not Showing Up)

It doesn't show up in network interfaces on the GUI it only shows up the built-in adaptor.


It shows up on the resource mapping


I tried to map it to passthrough



I'm able to pass it trough to a VM but it refuses to get an IP from the DHCP or manually.


I'm stuck and without many options to dig further. Any help is heavily appreciated.

If any logs are needed plz don't hesitate asking me.

hi,
i think i had this adapter in the far past.

it has strange problems:
it is not visible in linux as network device, if on boot there is not up connection on supported sfp.

i think i cannot resolve down state, must be up.
sfp can be resolved maybe with: allow_unsupported_sfp=1
