Hi,
due to network trouble on an guest I tried to update the nic-driver on a win2008R2.

I use the driver from the intel-website (PROWinx.exe 18.0 and 18.1) but during the install they failed, because "there are no intel nics"!

Has anybody have the same issue?

AFAIK there are no drivers for win2008r2 from the Intel website. drivers are provided from MS only.

you have problems with e1000, also with virtio? I run all my production win2008r2 with latest virtio nic and disks, without issues.

Hi Tom,
I can select win2008R2 as OS at the intel-website to choose the exe...

I haven't test with virtio, because of trouble with older virtio-nic on windows.
But I have change network settings inside the guest. If the issue repeat, I will try virtio.
