I am installing Proxmox on a Dell R720 and getting the error pex-e18 server response timeout after install on reboot. Does anyone have suggestions to fix this?

I read somewhere that a debian install with proxmox installed over it worked in a similar situation. FIngers Crossed.

While I am not sure what "pex-e18" is: is it trying to boot via PXE?

Then just disable it in the boot options of the Bios - or readjust the order. It does not harm anything but it will wait for a timeout and delay the actual boot process, which is slow anyway...

I think that comes up because it tries the promotion install but moves on. When I look in uefi boot order proxmox is first but grayed out and listed unavailable. I flashed my hardware controller to IT mode with a guide , but I wonder if this is related. It acts like the discs aren't there to read at boot.
