Good morning,
I have succesfully installed Proxmox VE 8.2 on a HP Microserver N54L (Gen7).
Networking is a real pain.
Pinging the host from the same network gives about 80% packet loss.
With many attempt, I can log on web interface but most of the time the connection drops.
The NIC is a Embedded NC107i PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Server Adapter (I think Broadcom chipset)
Anyone with the same issue?
What can I try?

Thanks a lot,
A.

Tripple check if there is an IP address conflict. "Random" packet loss may be the result. Simply change the IP address to confirm/deny this.

Change the NIC. If there is no free slot use an USB-NIC.

Thanks, of course I did it. same result with a different IP.
And the question was for checking if someone has already solved with this hw, before changing the NIC or having obvious suggestions

I was hoping to give Proxmox a shot on a N54L as well with a few virtual machines. Im downgrading HW wise to this so I need to know how it actually goes.

It will probably have four virtual machines:

Domain Controller
File Server
General purpose Windows virtual machine
General purpose Linux virtual machine
