Installation Issues Dell R710 Perc 61

I just purchased a new lab server and trying to get Proxmox 5.4 installed.
The server is Dell R710.
After choosing Install Proxmox from the gui window I get the following error when loading
testing cdrom: /dev/sr0
umount: cant unmount /mnt :invalid argument
this repeats for
/dev/sr1
/dev/sdb
/dev/sdc
finally exits to a shell with no cdrom found

If I tail dmesg

isofs_fill_super: bread failed, dev=sr1, iso_blknum=335654, block=335654

Any help would be much appreciated

Hi,
is your downloaded iso broken? check the checksum.

I have installed many times pve on Dell generation 11 servers, but allways from an usb-stick (copied iso with dd to the stick).
