Installation failed

Hi,
I have a Proxmox cluster of three servers with a ceph storage pool and use HA. I'm trying to install PBS as a VM on this cluster, but the installer is failing.

I've downloaded the latest iso today, created a VM with 8Gb RAM, 4 cores and 50Gb hard disk. The installer is mounted to the virtual CD/DVD drive and runs fine, I go through the setup and every time it fails with the error 'Installation of package lubcurl3-gnutils_7.88.1-10+deb12u8_amd64.deb failed'.

After rebooting the VM gets stuck at 'Booting from Hard Disk...'

I've tried the graphical install and the console install with the same results. I'm not sure what to try and nothing comes up in searches. Anyone have any clues please?

Hi,
did you verify the sha256 checksum after downloading the iso? Did you download the official iso from https://www.proxmox.com/en/downloads/proxmox-backup-server/iso?

This isn't an answer. Call it curiosity.
Do you have the same issue if the virtual disk is hosted on other storage?

Yep, you're spot on. I did download from there but the CRC was different, it must have been corrupted. Doh!

This isn't an answer. Call it curiosity.
Do you have the same issue if the virtual disk is hosted on other storage?

I assume I would have, as it seems the install image was corrupted. Sorry, failed a basic troubleshooting step!
