CPU: Ryzen 2700
GPU: Nvidia GTX1070
MB: Asus Prime X470 Pro (Latest BIOS version as of this day)

Virtualization options are enabled in the BIOS, running with nomodeset in boot options.
Installation fails right after getting DHCP lease. It hangs for a few minutes on a blinking cursor then aborts the installation. No specific error message, it just fails.

Some other posts mention this issue but the workarounds don't work in my setup. Any pointers to how debugging would work for this ?
First install of Proxmox so I might be missing obvious things, but nothing that I could find so far

FWIW, dmesg reports errors with nvidiafb cannot request PCI regions

running the installer in debug mode, and then once you are in the failed step, executing "xinit" should show whether it's Xorg that fails to start, and if so, why.

Trying to manually start X was indeed a good way to debug more in depth, however I couldn't find a fix with Proxmox 6.1.1. This same issue seems to be at the heart of the problem nvidiafb: cannot request PCI regions [...] -19 and all other errors seems to come from that one.

However, trying on 5.4.1 seems to be working even without nomodeset

That got me where I want so I'm fine on my side but if you need more information to track this regression, I'll be happy to help
