Install stucks after boot from cd.

Right after I hit enter to start installing, server stucks with a black screen cursor blinking. Could be hardware? What should I change on server you suggest? Should I try 1.5 and upgrade to 1.6?

hi try to verify you Proxmox Disc intaller check it for errors and also Do your hardware requirements meets the minimum and standard Proxmox requires.

no, currently not.

How can I do that?

On any linux box, simply do:

# md5sum /dev/cdrom

then verify the checksum.

I fixed the issue by installing 1.5 and upgrade to 1.6. I hope I do not have any issue in future.

Also one more thing, I have two 750 GB sata disk attached to server. And installation took about 1 hour. But system seems to bu running fine after installation. Is this install time normal?

You think something with harddrives. They are 750 GB samsung standart sata drives? Maybe I should change drives and test again? After install completed, I created 4 vms and make test and seems normal.

What is HD Space root which is 95 GB. My drive is 750 GB.

After setting disk modes to AHCI in bios, installation took 3 minutes
Now it seems perfect, windows 2008 R2 64bit took only 9 minutes to install.

What is better for windows quests for proxmox x86 or x64 versions?

both works. if you need more than 3.5 GB ram inside, go for 64-bit. ms server products are only available for 64-bit - this is already true for exchange, others will follow. so I would go for 64-bit.
