Hello all,

I have two proxmox nodes running with two virtual machines each one...

I have a question, can I install proxmox cluster on these??? or I need a clean installation of proxmox without any virtual machine??

thank you!!

the join command (pvecm add ...) does not work if you have VM or CT on the host.

Hmm or if I move conf files from /etc/pve/openvz and /etc/pve/qemu-server to another directory - vzlist and qm list show nothing - I will join server to cluster? Does files from /var/lib/vz/private and /var/lib/vz/images not to be deleted ?

please don't try to hack something and think you get support for this.

create the cluster on a node which has no vms on it, dump the vms and restore it to this one node. After this remove the vms from the other node and join the cluster.

If I can do that, I would do. But I have already VM and CT on machines. And this is no hacking, this is using linux shell ;) I would do this, but I dont know if pvecm add dont delete files from /var/lib/vz/private and images. Linux shell is necessary to create cluster for example.
