I want to install a USB-CDMA modem in proxmox.
But till now I am not lucky.

The brand is an 'ZTE CDMA Tech', type 'AC2726i'. Till now I have not found any x64 drivers for this modem, only x386 en x586 drivers.

I found some useful guidelines, which worked for my Ubuntu 10 desktop. But I can not get the modem to work in proxmox. How-to install CDMA modem.

I get stranded at : 'modprobe usbserial vendor=0x05c6 product=0×6000'
I have changed the vendor and product id to match my hardware. Those info I have found with 'cat /proc/bus/usb/devices | grep Vendor'. (idVendor=0x19d2,idProduct=0xfff5 )

There is no output in dmesg when I insert the usb, after the modprobe command. And output of lsmod is:
Module - Size - Used by
usbserial - 27223 - 0

Any suggestions?

Do you try to use it on the host, in a KVM guest or in a OpenVZ container?

I prefer the host, or otherwise in a way that the host and all virtual servers on it can use the new connection
