So I'm trying to install proxmox but after I select "Install Proxmox VE" It start to load but then it loads in the wrong resolution, because of this I cant see the next/continue button. I tried multiple monitors and both VGA and HDMI output's. Any help would be appreciated.
Edit: I'm using version 6.3

Edit: Changing PCIe slot for my GPU fixed the issue.

Hi,

Have you seen any error during loads?

What kind is your hardware?

However, you still can install Proxmox on Debian buster[0] if you couldn't install from ISO

No error's during loads

I'm using 2 Xeon E5-2660's and an old AMD GPU (I think the AMD HD 6570)

I already managed to install proxmox using ALT+G, ALT+N and ALT+I.

Any help fixing this issue would still be appreciated

Hi again,

thanks for the information :)

Any help fixing this issue would still be appreciated

Could you try preparing the installation media by following our docs [0] again?

also, I recommend you to use a different USB it could the issue from it.

it will be good if you send us the hash sum of the ISO image that you downloaded from our website or compare it in our download page [1]

Bash:
sha256sum proxmox-ve_6.3-1.iso

I tried a different USB stick on a different port, but I got the same issue

The sum is: 5a1becb95ebc48e6eafeb9fa704d1025b8c35dfa1ba28c533dc2ebf15d0a039b *proxmox-ve_6.3-1.iso
So the sum is the same.

Hi,
I'm facing exactly the same issue with ISO 7.4 on a bmax mini server: After I select the first "Install Proxmox VE" choice, I loose the video output (hdmi connector).
Did you find a solution to solve that issue ?

Thank you
best regards,
Julien

Hello,
For those who are facing the same problem, I end up installing Debian 11 Bullseye first and Proxmox VE on it. Here is the process : https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Install_Proxmox_VE_on_Debian_11_Bullseye

But that procedure is either incomplete or doesn't suite well for the clustering mode.

To achieve this, during the installation of Debian I had to configure manually the disk partitionning by creating a VG on the whole disk named "pve" with two LV inside it: one named "root" with about 50GB of disk and a swap partition (I set 1GB).
After proxmox VE has been installed, I had to create another LV named "data" (still in the vg "pve") and thin provisionned on all the remaining space.
e.g if 400GB are remaining on pve : lvcreate -L 400G --thinpool data pve

Then, I could add that node to your cluster properly.

Faced a similar problem.
Was only with help from the Most High God Jehovah that i had it resolved

In my own case, i did a reset to default on the server. Afterwards, i installed it using not the Proxmox GUI or console, but the 3rd option which is text based (only available on Proxmox 8).
