Insane high IO delay without reason

they were brand new with 0 hours and no data written on them.

when i bought them they were 100 euros each.
I wouldn't trust that when buying from china. It's common practice to buy very old HDDs/SSDs, clean them and then flaah a new firmware resetting the SMART attributes so it looks like they are new so you can sell them more expensive as new old stock.

could be. the firmware on the drives wasnt the newest though (it was 1 release older and i had to update to be current).
the drives looked brand new though.
i guess i will find out eventually :)

i actually just googled the topic and found only info about seagate hdds beeing able to be reset via uart adapter.
do you have by any chance some good source on that smart reset stuff with ssds?
