Important piece is missing from backup

Hi,
I'm using PBS to backup all my VM's/LXC containers, everything works great

But, IMHO, something is missing from PBS - and that's a backup of the cluster DB/configuration. I'm sure tons of user would kill for such a feature, specially since cluster configuration can be damaged so easily (ask me how I know...)

Will the team plan to add such a feature?

Host backup is great, but the problem is that if I have a cluster, restoring it from backup could also damage the cluster config (specially if the backup is old, for example).
IMHO, there should be (maybe in PVE itself) something that should give a better maintanance of cluster, like removing and re-attaching and node without formatting the node..

Well, the roadmap mentions this specifically:
  • Proxmox VE host backup
The idea being, that this is different from the host backups you can create with proxmox-backup-client already. So yeah, restoring a cluster config and integrating backup and restore on the PVE side will likely be part of this project.
