yesterday, I checked the PVE GUI for updates and I saw some new packages where there (e.g. pve-manager: 5.4-7) and I thought hmm, why I don't get any email notifications for that?
My SMTP is working correct, when I send an email via:
I receive a mail correctly to my address configured for root (which is set up under /etc/pve/user.cfg) which is sent via my configured "from" address in /etc/pve/datacenter.cfg.
I also checked the /var/log/mail.log but there is no entry that there should be an outgoing mail to me for the update.
The pvemailforward is working also correct, because when I pipe some text to it, I also get a mail to my defined root address:
Do you have some ideas why I don't receive any mails? (I haven't got any mails from my pve since setup weeks ago...)
