how to recover deleted raw file of VM

Hello

I have clicked on "remove" button of a "stopped" VPS accidentally and suddenly I tried to stop it. Also stopped all process related to the removal of VPS using shell. Now I can see that the VM is there but raw files were deleted. Is there any way to recover the raw files?

Hi,
an running VM where you delete the hdd-file can "reconstructed", because the file is yet open. On an stopped VM the content is lost... depends a little bit on the storage. On lvm-storage you can try to recover an deletet lv.

Thanks Udo. At last we dropped the case even we lost whole data. It would be nice if you guys provide the option to LOCK the VPS against delete, when it's created. We are humans and so mistakes are natural Anyway this incident was a tragedy for us.
