How to create VM templates ?

Hello,

I would like to have some VM templates to deliver when needed only with the GUI. I currently use the backup function, but the name of the backups is not explicit, the backup functionality is not designed for that and I need to reinitialize the MAC Address whenever I restore.
Is there any functionality to do that on Proxmox ? Is it planned ?
