I have spice working on a win7 guest. To use it, I have to use the PVE GUI.
I have downloaded the connection file and tried using the port that was in it, but it seems to be using tickets, and refuses to allow the spice client to connect. I looked in /etc for a configuration file but could not find it. How do I configure this thing?
Is it possible to just set a configuration that will enable me to open it without having to log into the admin GUI to access the guest directly via browser or spice client?

The script shows how to open a SPICE connection without using the Admin Browser GUI.

My bash-fu is not that good!
Can I use some configuration files and type a url in the browser?

I thought you are looking for a solution WITHOUT browser?

If you want to use a brower, use our default WebGUI.

Yes, but I'm not sure what to change to make the script work without using the root password from the client side. I tried editing the downloaded file, but it expires.

I'm looking for a solution outside of logging on to the PVE admin GUI from the client side. If it's possible to go directly from the browser to the guest, that's what I would like to do, but I'm not seeing my way through since I have no idea where and how to configure the connection. I was hoping to be able to hook into spice from the client, if possible, with the browser directly.

Mybe this examplescript on PVE can solve your Problem:

/usr/share/doc/pve-manager/examples/spice-example-sh

But yes a littel pit bash.

Thank you for the configuration location. This is the same script as above. I just don't know anything the ticketing in it. How do I make it not expire?
