how long should it take to install

it's been over 20mins for it to install on a usb 32gb thumb drive how long should of it take it's at 51% and going slowly

my cpu is intel i7

ram 16GB :?

don't know why it's so slow

install of what? If you talk about the installation of the Proxmox VE ISO, its just a few minutes.

But do not install on USB drive, not reliable enough.

its probably a slow USB memory stick - i agree with Tom - USB memory isnt reliable enough - i tried a similar approach with my systems originally and have reverted to standard hdds

If you have limited space for HDD´s, just use a small but reliable SSD.

oh ok so did not know i should of not put it on usb

all my port in my computer are used for sata so it's hard to get some more sata port looks like i have to spend a bit more
