How download / export disk image by shell

Is it possible to save a disk image by shell like from web gui?



I would like to create a script that export and saves it on a USB disk or network share.

hi,

you can use the proxmox-backup-client to restore the backup from shell. [0] [1]

Maybe during the last year, and the new version of PBS, today is there a way to save img file on an USB device by shell?

as my colleague wrote, you can use the proxmox-backup-client to restore the disk ... just check out the documentation he linked

We don't need to restore the vm, we need to export the file .img using CLI. When we press the button we can save in local drive the disk as .img file. We need to do that with a script.

when you use the proxmox-backup-client, you can restore any part of the backup into a file (the img file too). please read the docs, it's explained there.
