We don't need to restore the vm, we need to export the file .img using CLI. When we press the button we can save in local drive the disk as .img file. We need to do that with a script.
when you use the proxmox-backup-client, you can restore any part of the backup into a file (the img file too). please read the docs, it's explained there.
