[SOLVED] How does email work?

As above really - email is working great, but I just don't understand how.

As far as I can remember I didn't put in any SMTP settings during the Proxmox install... and I see no relevant config in postfix. Googling suggests that the Proxmox ISO install "makes it work out of the box" so I'm guessing this is something obvious, I just can't see what.

I see. I've only ever used postfix with a relay server, but on further research it appears it it much more than that. I'll carry on looking, thanks.
