Host IP Discovery

Is there a way to get the host IP information(like: IP Address, subnet) from the VM that is running on the host.

one way is to run lldpd on host and vm

lldpd only shows the ip address of the host I also need the subnet mask or broadcast.
any idea how to get the subnetmask or broadcast....
