Hi there.

After I upgrade my proxmox from 3.1 to 3.2, every KVM vps and OpenVz vps at local storage stop after some minutes.

VPSs stored in other HDDs still running, but im not able to login in mypromox:8006. The error shows to be something like my first ssd hardware problem. Everything on this drive stop to work, and this include all the system. Strange is the rest of VMs running in other hdds, still running without any problems.

In my console screen, it shows so many lines like this, and still showing if i don't reboot the server:
EXT4-fs (dm-0): ext4_da_writepages: jbd2_start: 8192 pages, ino 3555141; err -30
end_request: I/O error, dev sda, sector 85295712
EXT4-fs (dm-2): ext4_da_writepages: jbd2_start: 1024 pages, ino 3545045; err -30
end_request: I/O error, dev sda, sector 85295712
end_request: I/O error, dev sda, sector 85295712

EXT4-fs (dm-0): ext4_da_writepages: jbd2_start: 8192 pages, ino 3555141; err -30

This message still in loop with other number values.

It shows to be my first SSD hardware problem, but I have changed it for another one, did clone disk, and error persist. After 5 or 10 minutes of server running, i have the same problem again.

This error start only after I upgrade my server from 3.1 to 3.2

At this time, if someone know how to downgrade my system (only for me try to test) will help a lot.

Thank you guys!

Hi,
try to use the 2.6.32-27 kernel first! (without downgrade othe packages)

Udo

Hi Udo. Always you and always helping everyone.

After trying to find some helps about this, I have found many posts with some peoples talking about kernel. Everyone says this is an kernel error.

I just don't know how to change back to this old kernel. My system now shows version 2.6.32-30-pve. In version 3.1 it use this version 2.6.32-27-pve?

When we go to the installation instructions, that recommend you to install as ext-3, but I have found in some posts anyone talking about better performance with Ext-4.

Thats why I have installed my proxmox with Ext-4.

Ill try now to find some tutorial of how to rollback my old kernel.

Thank you Udo. You are always the best!

Hi,
look which kernels are installed (perhaps you allready have the -27 kernel installed)
Code:
dpkg -l | grep pve-kernel
If necessary load the "old" kernel
Code:
wget http://download.proxmox.com/debian/dists/wheezy/pve-no-subscription/binary-amd64/pve-kernel-2.6.32-27-pve_2.6.32-121_amd64.deb
dpkg -i pve-kernel-2.6.32-27-pve_2.6.32-121_amd64.deb
reboot your server and manual select during grub the -27 kernel.

Look if that solve your issue.

Udo

Thank you again Udo.

I'll do that now, and after downgrade the kernel, in some days I'll post a reply if this works.

Thanks! You are the God of Gods!
