HD Space Root

Hi @all,

maybe its a simple question:
I allocated 50GB space for root during the installation.
The GUI is showing me:
HD Space (root): Total 49.22 GB
Used 46.57 GB

I was wondering how I can find out whats using the space and how I can free up some space.

This is a pve server I am using in my LAB. Its running for more then a year. Maybe it needs some clean-up ?

Type

find / -size +100M

Will pump out files > 100MB - its a good start for u

That was the command I was looking for. But I am not sure if I understand the output correctly:

It shows me the file bigger the 100 MB I understand. Here is the output:

I understand that all directorys with /mnt/... are remote directorys+files. But where are the *.raw files located under /var/lib/vz/images ? Are they on my root partition (50GB) or on my LVM partition ?

wow - thanks Tom. did not see that thread - sorry. Based on the information in that thread I found out that the file /var/tmp/CGItemp37554 is arround 45GB !!! big.
Now - what is this file and is it save to delete it ?

ok. I just removed the file.
Now HD Space Root is only 1.3 GB in size.
