I'm new to proxmox, sorry if this is an easy fix. "Error getting S.M.A.R.T. data: Exit code: 2 (500)" any ideas? I tried plugging into a nearby windows 11 machine and it worked.

What specific problem are you having with actual access?
The smart error appears to be advisory, it may affect SMART stats. From access perspective - your disk is formatted NTFS, what exactly do you want to do with it?

I figured it out. It was my own mistake. I had it passed through a VM via USB and forgot to add it back after unplugging things. My fault
