Hello!

I have a Proxmox host here which had a problem with one of 4 HDDs. This HDD has now been replaced, since then the host boots into grub rescue mode with "checksum verification failed", before the replacement the boot HDD was the (hd0), since replacement it is the (hd3,gpt3).

After booting with the Proxmox installer in debug mode, I can find the pool with "zpool import -N -R /mnt rpool" but I get a message that the pool was previously used by another system and can only be imported with the -f parameter, but do not want to make a mistake here.

I don't know how to fix the checksum errors.

Do you have any input for me?

Thank you very much!

Importing with '-f' if you run in a live-cd/the installer is necessary and should not make any problems (apart from having to import with -f again in the live-system.

else - depending on how the disks are partitioned - you could consider switching to proxmox-boot-tool with the system:

I hope this helps!
