Gnome Alignment Issues

For some reason, when I install a Linux desktop with Gnome, I have an alignment problem. In the picture below, if the mouse cursor was moved directly down to where it lined up the the NEXT button, that is the place where I have to click.

Are there drivers or something to correct the problem?

This doesn't happen with Windows.

Picture is from Fedora 20 however, it happens with other distros.

change the virtual graphic card to "Standard VGA" or "VMware" - for best performance, choose "SPICE"
