Fresh install freezes on startup

Hi,

just installed a freshly downloaded VE (5.4) and after initialization system freezes.
Startup messages are:

After that there is some color garbage on screen as if graphics mode is about to be initialized, then all fans are quickly ramping up as if system's ACPI module gets re-initialized and then screen goes black and system just hangs.

Any thoughts?

Hi, what hardware are you running on? Have you tried to boot with the 'nomodeset' cmdline parameter? See https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/pve-kernel-do-not-boot.53614/#post-247531

Chris, thank you, the nomodeset option works for me!
I'm running custom made PC with Xeon E5-2699v4 on Asrock X99 motherboard with a lot of hardware (RAID controller, 10Gb NIC, NVME disks, Radeon GPU).
