Hi all.
We would like to have the following fix in our kernel because we need it https://github.com/torvalds/linux/commit/9c2b4e0347067396ceb3ae929d6888c81d610259 <https://github.com/torvalds/linux/commit/9c2b4e0347067396ceb3ae929d6888c81d610259>
This fix was accepted in ubuntu focal 2020-12-10 https://github.com/torvalds/linux/commit/9c2b4e0347067396ceb3ae929d6888c81d610259 <https://github.com/torvalds/linux/commit/9c2b4e0347067396ceb3ae929d6888c81d610259> (this is, it seems, after the last proxmox kernel update). This fix, for the moment, is not yet present in ubuntu hirsute. Could you create a new proxmox kernel rpm from the ubuntu focal repository (or provide me a URL where I can download?) We are using Proxmox 6.

best greetings
Osoo

Hi,
We are using Proxmox 6.
Proxmox VE 6.x is currently using a kernel based on Ubuntu's Focal 5.4 LTS kernel.

This fix was accepted in ubuntu focal 2020-12-10
Yeah, and it got included also in our repo https://git.proxmox.com/?p=mirror_u...ff;h=b8e700b5de24e30988449a9d58eb70d276ebe110
with pve-kernel (5.4.86-1) which is available since end of January on our pvetest repo, actually it got superseded by pve-kernel-5.4.98-1-pve recently.

You can add the pvetest repository if you want to test that release including your desired fix now already:
https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Package_Repositories#sysadmin_test_repo

Oh, and btw. Proxmox VE bases on Debian and thus builds and ships .deb packages, not .rpm.
