Hi there!

I'd setup proxmox v 8.4.0, after that I created a fleecing device 10 gb size and enabled TRIM and sparce file support for it. I've tested TRIM. It works fine.
I will be running a backup my VM to PBS. If I understand properly 10 gb part size is more than enough because it uses only write block which hadn't been backed up to PBS and that block will backup immediate to PBS and dell from fleecing device. So, I think 10GB size is enough for 99.9% cases.

So, please tell me about typical recommend size of fleecing device if any.

Best regards,
Victor.

there isn't recommended size,
because it depends :
in worst case, where VM writes many data and connection to PBS is too slow.
if running full , backup will fail.
Yep. I think that you're right. Thank for you answer to me! That size was my mistake, but hope will be enough in my case.

Do you know what happen if PBS will temporally disconnect during the backup process? Will a backup fail or just wait for fleecing will be out of space in that case?
