Fencing problem

Hello expert,

recently we configured our two HP ilo2 servers as two-node HA cluster following the proxmox wiki document. The OS is debian wheezy. We built the cluster, and DRBD, but sucked on Fencing. There was always the same feedback message "fencing IPaddr failed", no matter when fence_node or fence_ilo was used. The problem I suppose is that there is no connection between the host and the fence device. So I tried to google how to activate fence device in debian, but what I got was all related with Redhat. My question is whether it is possible to enable fencing in Debian? If so, is there something elso I need to install? On the HP official webpage, there are only some additional packages for Redhat and CentOS. Hopefully, you can give me some advice about this situation. Thank you in advance.

Hi Tom,

I read the link you gave as well, but it still doesn't solve my problem. After I configured the cluster.conf file, there was no second node in the proxmox web interface, and the first node turned red as the image shownBild 13.png. If I change the cluster.conf without fencedevice, the second node comes back and both are green.
