Hey everyone!

As a previous VMWare heavy user I am missing one feature which would make our lifes easier. I would like to have a column IP in the datacenter VM listing. Especially in cases where staff members forget to maintain our IPAM well that would help me a lot to identify IPs which were found by my compliance script.

Kind regards

That has been requested before but is not as easy to implement as one might think. The integration relies heavily on the guest agent so that the hypervisor can access the information. What do you want to display if you have none or more than one IP address available? The later is often the case with Linux and things like docker will spin up a lot of interfaces with a lot of ip addresses, how to tell them apart?

LXCs are not a problem - Just VMs would need GA & where unavailable would be left blank like other unavailable columns (Tags etc.).

The same data that is "chosen" to be shown on the VM summary page?

Could be. It's not correct for a couple examples in my PVE clusters, so I don't need a column for stuff that may be correct or not.
The majority of VMs in my experience have 1 (detectable/usable) IP so the info is still useful where relevant. YMMV.

Searching by IP can be very useful - although I do agree that not finding the searched IP; doesn't necessarily mean it is not being used.
