"Extending" the default LVM

Hi,

I have very basic LVM knowledge, please forgive me if this is too basic.

I bump into this article https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Logical_Volume_Manager_(LVM)

Reviewing the steps/instructions in it I'm guessing that following them will result in the resize of the storage on /var/lib/vz using an extra drive, correct?

Referring to section "Creating a volume group": yes. Note: The referred wiki page shows just different topics regarding lvm handling, the sections are not directly related to each other.
