Error Install

hello,
I tried to install Proxmox VE 1.6. At the end of the installation I get an error "mkfs.ext3-m O-F failed / dev / pve / data"

I tried to install version 1.5 and I have the same error message.
Thank you for your help.

My configuration:
Mother board: Asus P7H55
Pross: Intel I3-540
HDD: Sata 500Go
RAM: 8Gb

try 1.4 iso (the 1.4 iso use a 2.6.24 kernel)

Thank you for your reply.
I solved the problem by installing an Ubuntu system. Then I installed over Proxmox v1.6. I have no error.

I've seen similar issues not with PVE in particular, but while installing various linuxes onto disks which contain either LVM2 or software RAID metadata residue from previous installations.
In every case zeroing the affected disk(s) using dd from the 'Disk Erase' tool on the PartedMagic LiveCD resolved the problem, and the installation attempt following would complete without issue.
