EDIT2: It does seem that the original bug is fixed (@fweber used the reproducer from here to get the problematic condition and the bug didn't trigger), but maybe there is another bug.

it should be fixed in Proxmox VE 8/Debian 12 withhey! this did the trick for me, also grub version 2.06-13. Is there anyway to update grub so that this doesnt happen again? Or is this a permanent solution?
