Enable Sync to other Destination

Hello all, I am looking for something to sync my PBS datastore to something else than an remote PBS server , for example a share on a Synology NAS or share in Azure.
Would it be possible to enable something in an upcoming release?

Hi,
you could already set up a datastore on the network share and pull the contents from the datastore backed by local storage to the datastore backed by the network share.

There is currently no plan to implement such a feature as far as I know. The question is what would you envision for the sync target to contain after the sync job? A pxar or vma archive? The raw chunks?

Note: You could already perform some form of raw export by downloading the contents of the snapshots to your network share, similar to what is done in the PBS WebUI when you click the download button.
