dual boot Proxmox

Hello everybody !!

I want to install dual boot with 2 Proxmox (with 1 in safety disk). Unfortunately after the one installation on sda, the 2nd on sdb doesn't install.

It's possible ?

This is not supported and it also makes no sense for me.

why do want to do this?

What i want to do is to build a proxmox server having one active disk running its VMs and a second disk with proxmox and same VMs yet installed. If the first proxmox is able to maintain daily synchronised VMs image on the second disk, then when the first disk fails, the server can be rebooted on the second disk,then a "VZDUMP restore" could restore VMs in their last state. So, the failing disk may be changed later.

That is why i need two "proxmox" disks accepting dual boot.

RAID1 is what you need. The disks are mirrored and if one fails the system is still running and you do not have any interrupt.

you need a hardware raid controller and hotswap chassis.

your idea will not lead to a reliable system, means if you cannot afford server class hardware I suggest you go with a single disk and do regularly backups/restore testing.
