Distribute load across cluster nodes

I'm currently in the process to move in production a 3-nodes proxmox2 cluster.

Is there a tool to automatically spread load across cluster nodes?

The CPU load for my VMs is far from being predictable and even during the day, so I'm looking for a solution to spread the high-cpu-using VMs to the best suited node.

I doubt that this make sense at all. starting live migrations on already overloaded nodes does not help you at all, instead it will just increase the load with all negative issues.

I know others offer such functionality by in fact, I personally do not know anyone using it with great success in production environments.

Most of the people i have spoken to about using this in ESXi have it turned off as it causes more problems than solves.

that is exactly what I expect - sounds like a nice feature but in reality problematic.
