I have a problem, in my cluster node I have around 10-15 containers in openvz. My problem is when I create a new container (openvz) the I/O delay of node cluster is high and the containers are running block totally the node.

What can make for solve this problem? I need my server is online while I create a new container or want backup of my containers.

Other question, Can I limit the limit of use disk for vzctl create? Can I limit the limit of use disk of my containers?

Thanks for the info!!!

Hi,
you need better IO! A good HW-Raidcontroller with more disks - like four (better six) disks in raid-10.
If you go for SAS-disk they are much (normaly) faster then sata-disks.
With such a configuration your i/o-delay will drop significant.
