Disable IPv6?

We are installing a proxmox host in our DMZ.

We have an IPv4 only network

We noticed problems connecting to security.debian when updating

Should we disable IPv6 on the proxmox host and if so what is the procedure?

I would give IPv4 a higher priority.
Edit /etc/gai.conf and uncomment

#precedence ::ffff:0:0/96 100

I'm still seeing this issue after doing this.

Out of curiosity, what values are you using for DNS under proxmox? I had a similar problem awhile back, and I was using OpenDNS family 208.67.222.123. As soon as I changed primary to Google DNS 8.8.8.8, secondary to 4.2.2.2 and rebooted, it resolved immediately.
