I have a 5 node cluster (version 6.3.3) that isn't using shared storage but using the same storage path and configuration on all nodes but number 5. All nodes but 5 can migrate VMs successfully. When I added the 5 node to the cluster I failed to create the storage directory first and now I cant create the directory as the cluster says it already exists.

Cluster Storage Config screenshot (item of interest is "storage" at the path /mnt/pve/storage). I add Sig05 as an available node for "storage". It shows up on the node but with a "?". How do I create a directory on Sig05 named "storage" without the the system saying it already exists?

Here is the error I get when trying to create the "storage" directory on sig05

You help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

SOLVED

Ended up initializing the disk under the individual node storage. Once the disk was initialized I then created the directory and did DESELECTED "ADD STORAGE". Once this task completed, the cluster was able to use the "storage" folder.

Hope this helps someone else later on!
