All,

I have been trying for days to get an install of proxmox 7.3.1 working.
I have a Dell R620 with a Perc H710 flashed to IT Mode.
Bios is setup for UEFI
I have 2x 60gb enterprise dell ssd drives
I have tried to install with both the vflash attached iso and with a usb stick as well as cd. No matter what the same thing happens:

1. Proxmox installer loads fine
2. I select the 2 x 60gb ssds from the perch h710
3. I choose zfs raid 1
4. The installer finishes and reboots
5. The same error always shows twice:

Boot Failed: Linux Boot Manager
Boot Failed: Linux Boot Manager

No boot device available

What I have tried:

Resetting Bios and Idrac, Turning off inventory collection one life controller, Switching bios mode to bios, then clearing all startup devices, then rebooting then changing mode to uefi and choosing on the usb or vlash iso to install.

Any help would be greatly appreciate, pulling my hair out on this one. I really want to have zfs raid 1 across these two expensive 60gb enterprise ssd's.

That's strange... I have read many other articles that say it will. But most people have no idea what they did to get it working. I have it flashed for IT mode so it does pass through all the drives and the proxmox installer does see all those drives. But if you are certain the controller does not work, what controller would you recommend getting that would work?

Boot Failed: Linux Boot Manager
Boot Failed: Linux Boot Manager
on a hunch - make sure secure boot is disabled - I guess it should be fixable with the correct settings in the BIOS of the system

I tried once installing PVE using UEFI. I think I had the same issues you had. So, I just setup to boot in BIOS mode.

Also, I'm using a H310 flashed in IT mode with https://fohdeesha.com/docs/perc.html
HI Jdancer,

I found out the issue i am embarrassed to say when i flashed the software to IT mode I forgot to flash the boot rom lol. Wow, as soon as i did that it showed up and worked.

Thanks for the info!
