Hello,

I just delete snapshot backup on datastore but its not decreasing the disk space. Can someone guide me in the right path what is the correct process?

Thanks!

While the snapshot was deleted, the underlying data might be in use by other snapshots. Due to the deduplication PBS is employing the amount of disk space freed up by removing a backup is entirely depending on the overlap it had with other backups.
On top of that it is wise to run a garbage collect to remove any data blocks not referenced by current backups.

Thanks @Big4SMK. The thing is my disk is already full i cant run garbage collection. Is there command that i can run in the backend to manually remove the data?

I think I ran into that once and fixed it by removing backups that looked like they were still running but actually failed due to the disk being full. It would show a spinner in the content view (or you could check the GC log, it will show you where it fails)

Once I deleted the offending backups, I could run GC and free up some space.
