Datastore Replication

I curous to what PBS uses to sync it's datastore to another unit? ZFS send, Rsync or based on files system used?

Tom thanks for the reply. I aware of that but I wanted to know what that feature uses to sync data between backup servers so I can make an informed descision. ZFS has worked the best for me but In this case I need to consider blind swap in order to get a drive repalced in a timely manner.

I should have added, I'm assuming that ZFS would use send/recv and a hardware raid backed datastore would use Rsync.

Again, this is a core feature of the Proxmox Backup Server.

We do not use rsync or ZFS, we use the in-build Proxmox Backup Server way to sync to remotes.
