Hello, I recently did a do-release-upgrade on my vm and now when i try to start my VM it refuses to start and i get this error

run_buffer: 321 Script exited with status 255
lxc_init: 847 Failed to run lxc.hook.pre-start for container "101"
__lxc_start: 2008 Failed to initialize container "101"
TASK ERROR: startup for container '101' failed

I dont know what happened or why this happened as all i did was upgrade my vm

Hi, seems like you are trying to start a Linux Container, not a VM. Please post the output of pct start 101 --debug

I ran the startup in debug and this is what I got, apparently its incompatible with the startup, is there any fix for this or do i need to make a new VM?

Your PVE version is EOL, please upgrade to the latest 7.x version or 8.0 version. The upgrade to version 8 can be performed by following these steps [0].

[0] https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Upgrade_from_7_to_8

So i did that and im still at 7.2-3, am i at the latest version?
No, most likely, the right update repository is not configured correctly. Note that my previous link points to the PVE 8.x manual and I don't know how to point to the 7.4 manual.
What is the output of apt update? What is the output of cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/pve-enterprise.list?

I got it! thank you, my CT is working, I didn't have the update pointing to the right repository, but now I'm in 7.4 and everything is working fine, thank you all!
