Hi,

after creating MDS and CephFS manually in my cluster, I want to create a storage of type cephfs.

However this fails with error:
error with cfs lock 'file-storage_cfg': mount error: exit code 2

This is the complete output:
root@ld3955:~# pvesm add cephfs pve_cephfs
mount error 2 = No such file or directory
create storage failed: error with cfs lock 'file-storage_cfg': mount error: exit code 2

root@ld3955:~# ls -l /mnt/
insgesamt 0
drwxr-xr-x 1 root root 20 Jun 12 12:09 pve
root@ld3955:~# ls -l /mnt/pve/
insgesamt 0
drwxr-xr-x 1 root root 0 Jun 12 12:09 pve_cephfs
root@ld3955:~# ls -l /mnt/pve/pve_cephfs/
insgesamt 0

I didn't manage to identify the root cause of this error.

Please advise how to fix this.

THX

See your other post, your MDS is still creating it store.

OK. But this should not take hours.
My conclusion is that something is wrong with Ceph.

This "something wrong with Ceph" is identified:
Crush Map was resetted to some kind of default.
But this results in a faulty Ceph Cluster where device classes and rules are expected to be used in the crush map.
