Create Storage Failed

I had initially added an NFS share for Proxmox resource data, it didn't like it. I tried doing the same thing with SMB and the error I got after that was solved with a reboot.. but then I ended up with the error below. Not really keen on wiping my installation.

Code:
create storage failed: mount error: Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs) and kernel log messages (dmesg) (500)

I never got a reply soon enough and I just reinstalled Proxmox. Maybe the replies this will get will help someone else in the future.. or get a possible bug fixed.

After blowing away Proxmox, I still got the error. Blew away the TrueNAS EE VM and started from scratch. Owner was set to "nobody" and "Allow Guest Access" was done each time I remade the share. Proxmox was happy after I created the folder where I told Proxmox to make it. *shrug* It's all working peacefully so far.
