Hello

I am asking this question because I could not get a clear answer on any other thread.

when i want to install a software that has as one of the prerequisites "CPU = 1,4 GHz" in a VM i see that the processor type of my vm is on 2.66 GHz

What should I do to have a processor according to the requirements of my software

Most CPU's are backwards compatible, so anything faster is probably good enough. But there are also other considerations such as architecture, bits, extended instruction sets and more. Just "1.4GHz" is not really enough information to tell the CPU type. Can you provide a link to the software's system requirements?

Try the CPU type host. If that is not good enough, you might need a newer CPU. Please share the error message(s) if CPU type host does not work.
