Hello world!

I'm asking your help.
When I try to install ProxMox 2.1 - I have an error
"could not find kernel image: linux"

I try to boot from two different cd-rom's and usb flashes

When I boot from cd-rom or usb flash - I'll have prompt "boot: " and message "Press Return to install Proxmox Virtual Environment"
Then I press "Enter" and got the message:
"could not find kernel image: linux"

Thats all - I can't do anything
when type debug - got message
"could not find kernel image: debug"

I did have also:
check md5 sum, try different disks CD-R, CR-RW, try proxmox-ve_2.0-ff6cd700-24.iso - same results.
My hardware:
intel sr2500 platform
motherboard - s5000pal

Hi,
what happens if you try to install via USB-stick?

Or you connect the disk to an normal desktop-computer (without other disks) and install pve there. Put the disk back, boot and remove or change /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules and reboot again and all should work.

Udo

via usb install the same error:
"could not find kernel image: linux"

Ok - thanks - I'll try to install pve on another computer and them put back HDD into the server.

Then write what came of it...

All ok - I install PVE on another computer and them put back HDD into the server and PROXMOX start working!

Thanks!
