Convert LVM to LVM-Thin (SAN Disk)?

Hi (thanks for the help and sorry for the english)

I read the topics where they convert local lvm to lvm-thin and everything is clear there
but how to convert partitions mounted on disk arrays over SAN?
I have several sections in LVM and I need to convert to LVM-thin

I do the command lvconvert --type thin-pool where I specify the desired array, but so it gives an error
where am i wrong?

you can't convert a full VG/PV, but only an existing LV (or create a new one). https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/pve-admin-guide.html#chapter_lvm

also be aware that you can't use a thinpool as shared storage (even if the backing VG is available to multiple nodes), this is only possible with regular LVM.
